Doctor Livewell guides Elias and Sadie on a journey through Elias’s intestines to learn about Functional Abdominal Pain.

Doctor Livewell was co-created and written by David Suskind MD, and Jason Piperberg. Dr. Suskind is Director of Quality Improvement and Professor of Pediatrics at Seattle Children’s Hospital and the University of Washington School of Medicine. An expert in intestinal diseases, Dr. Suskind has focused much of his energies into clinical care and research for patients with inflammatory bowel disease. With a strong background in nutrition, he has initiated and pushed forward research into the impact of dietary therapies in IBD. The IBD center at Seattle Children’s Hospital is one of the first academic centers to fully incorporate dietary therapy for IBD. Dr. Suskind’s philosophy in health care centers on patient and family empowerment through education.
